Ancestors

Ancestors

Last summer I was laying on the sand and prayed to the sun to help me move through the types of relationships I had been in. I realized like the women in my family, I too had been in dysfunctional relationship patterns.

After doing some ancestral clearing this summer, I realized how much my ancestors endured: religious abuse, addictions, betrayal, cruelty and abuse.

They survived without being able to fully heal and work through their pain. I am most grateful to be aware of the traumas in my bloodline and to have the opportunities to process and heal what they could not.

I know my Grandmothers are smiling knowing that I am doing the healing necessary to not endure the abuses they did. My Ancestors are proud of me knowing that I am teaching others to love and honor themselves. We cannot transmit what we do not have. Thankfully I have been gifted with the tools to become self aware and teachings on how to love myself.

Self respect is a game changer. Once you have it, the way you participate in life changes. I surround myself with people who love and respect themselves, are spiritually connected to life and I do not entertain company unworthy of my time and energy.

It is my duty to protect my bloodline and honour those who have gone on before me. Gaa zah gin my Grandmothers. ❤️
