Stay Present

Stay Present

You were brought to this planet to be happy! You were brought into this life to have an enjoyable time. Unfortunately, too many people complain about what they don’t want, what they don’t have and let adversities from the past including resentments and anger hold them back from having a good time in the present moment.

Staying present is being aware of what you are thinking. When you are presently aware, you are able to enjoy what you are doing. When you stay in the present moment, your ego is not able to bring back a rush of negative thoughts that can unbalance your state of mind. Visit the past once in awhile, but do not get stuck there; instead, experience freedom in the present moment.

If you don’t know what makes you happy, try new activities and be willing to create new experiences for yourself. Whatever you enjoy doing will attract more activities that bring you pleasure. One of the keys to happiness is to be enthusiastic per truly getting a “kick out of life.” I do not mean engaging in self-destructive activities in order to have a good time. I mean enjoying an abundance of activities that bring you joy: being outdoors, making jewelry, playing an instrument, going for a bike ride, hiking, going to a bookstore, meeting an old friend for lunch, going to see a funny movie, walking your dog, etcetera.

Do more of what you enjoy and be willing to try new, fun and interesting activities while staying present in the moment and truly nurturing yourself!
