Yoga Practice

Yoga is an ancient practice that nurtures the mind, body and soul. Yoga was first introduced into North America in the early twentieth century. At that time, Paramahansa Yogananda, shared the spiritual and physical teachings of the ancient India practice. Today, we tend to focus on the physical essence of yoga. However, when Spirit is invited into the human body, yoga becomes a more profound healing and spiritual state of being.

Meditation and yoga go hand in hand. Connecting the mind, body and spirit all together in this ancient practice allows a person to truly enjoy yoga. While performing yoga, one naturally slows down their breathing and relaxes their body. We, North Americans, move at such an accelerated pace, we rarely stop to think about our breathing. When practicing yoga, the mind, body and soul experience has such healing effects throughout a person’s entire being.

I love yoga and hope you’re not intimidated by this ancient healing art. You can take classes, watch online videos and read up upon it, I just hope you allow yourself the opportunity to connect to your entire being through this beautiful practice. Namaste! (from my soul to yours)
