Over the last little while, I have come to realize that the greatest gift we are given is time. I’ve been thinking about my aging family members and dog and how being around them is truly a gift. A girl friend of mine told me today the pain of losing someone is worth experiencing the love they give us. What a beautiful insight!
Eventually, we will lose those we love; however, each day we are on this planet is a gift and love allows us the opportunity to connect to others in the most beautiful, meaningful ways. Do not let time pass you by without appreciating all that you love. In the wise words of St. Augustine, “Since love grows within you, so beauty grows, for love is the beauty of the soul.”
