Kindness

Kindness

One of the most beautiful teachings I have received from several teachers is to be kind and to be a, Kizhay Ottiziwin, living being of kindness. It is of the utmost importance to realize our thoughts, dictate our words and our words direct our actions.

If we get to a place where our hearts are open and we treat no living being above or below us, then our actions will shift and kindness will be a part of our evolutionary change that must happen.

We, humans, have been caught up in greed, anger, fear and cruelty for generations; however, we no longer have to stay stuck. We can become living beings of kindness.

Another teaching I value is to not intentionally hurt someone else’s feelings. It is easy to lose control, and it is much more difficult to think before acting; however, there are ramifications for our actions. Especially those actions that hurt others.

My Granny says, “It’s good to be kind.” I think we all can share, care and be a little more kind. Have a great week and do your best to be kind.
