Today, I attended a Remembrance Day ceremony with my grandparents, mother and brothers. We paid homage to those who passed on before us, and shared in the memories of our family members. Really not every person who walks this earth is going to strike fame and really fame is fleeting and often short lived. However, our memory will be carried on by those who love us. I think of my Papa’s woodpile, and how he has passed our traditional knowledge and love of the Canadian bush (forest for you non-Canadians) on to his grandchildren and great grandchildren to come. I hope you too keep your family memories alive in the traditions you hold sacred.
