Seventh Generation

Seventh Generation

There are Indigenous teachings that emphasize the principle that the decisions we make today will have impacts upon seven generations into the future. These teachings focus on being wise, humble, respectful, truthful, loving, brave and honest in all that we do.

Can you say, you are doing your best and your actions are in the best interests of future generations?

We are here for a reason. Whether or not you are struggling, there is a purpose for our lives. Each one of us were once children and either received the love we deserved or we didn’t. Thankfully right now, Universal consciousness is expanding and we as a species are evolving. They are scholars, leaders and spiritualists across the globe teaching about the importance of love and understanding trauma.

If we all unearthed the parts of our selves we rejected, gave ourselves the love we did and didn’t receive in childhood and then were able to communicate with one another in a loving and tolerate manner, we as a species would live at one with ourselves, each other, the earth, and animals.

Seeing as parenting is the most sacred duty in this world, and what we do today will have impacts on the Seventh Generation. It is my honour to teach others what I have learned that have made my life easier and more enjoyable. I know I don’t have all the answers; however, I am grateful to share about the importance of recovery, teaching school children, respecting the earth and learning to love one’s self.

This week, I worked with a group of young mother’s discussing self worth and healthy relationships. It made my heart most happy to hear some of these women share they learned the importance of loving themselves and looking at their own family patterns to better understand their behaviour. We are all in this life together, and we are meant to learn from one another. I pray children do not have to endure the hardships they have had to for millennia, and we as a species evolve and protect the Seventh Generation in all we do.

(Thank you Lucille for being featured on my blog all these years, I’m most proud of your parents for raising you with such love and allowing you to blossom into the extraordinary little star you naturally are.) xo
