Healing Energy

Healing Energy

I’m so grateful for this time in my life. My first single, Walk Away, has been released it is officially on iTunes, Spotify, the Indigenous Music Countdown, and is being picked up by radio stations. How incredible!

Considering this is such an exciting time, I have to take special care to ground my energy and take time to nurture myself. Recently, I had attended some cognitive behavioural therapy workshops which were insightful and eye opening. I cannot stress how important it is to seek help and try new modalities of healing. Whether it’s seeing a counsellor, psychiatrist, recovery groups, chiropractics & massage therapy and mental wellness workshops one can help themselves in a good way if they’re willing to ask for help, show up and do the work. It isn’t just one thing I utilize, it’s many.

Being on the land has always been a secret healing power of mine. Right now, it’s vital to get out of the city, go see my horses & Grandparents and enjoy their loving energy. When I’m resentful, I am praying for anger to leave my body. I do not want to manifest illness or get sick, so it’s essential to keep in constant contact with my Higher Power.

How do you care for yourself? What grounding activities help you? Music is an agent of healing. Spirit has gifted me with a voice to use, so I must take care of it and gently use it. My neck and shoulders have been aching lately. Thank goodness, I have more tools to take care of myself and realize I am responsible for mind, body, spirit and heart health.

If you’re living through something toxic or dysfunctional, I pray you can rise above it and not lose sight of what is important. There is healing all around us, I hope you can find what works for you.

Miigwetch and thank you for your love and support. Be sure to check out my new single, Walk Away.
