What do you do for fun? Fun is defined as enjoyment, amusement, or lighthearted pleasure. How do you break up the monotony of your days? Often, we can work long hours, pay high child support payments and toil without a means of enjoyable pleasure. As stress and frustration build, it is important to have a variety of ways to cope. Doing activities that create pleasure reduce stresses in beneficial ways.

Dopamine is a neurotransmitter in the brain associated with pleasure. Often times, people can get into unhealthy habits like smoking or gambling to experience the release of dopamine. Listening to music, exercising and using one’s creativity can be fun and associated with pleasure.

Personally, I absolutely love making music. Singing and performing are amongst my most favorite things to do. I know when I am not doing what I enjoy, I can become frustrated. I hope you’re getting a chance to have some fun and do what brings you health benefitting enjoyment.
