Breathing

It is important to take time to breathe. Breathing is a function our body does automatically. Yet, how often do we neglect to think about our breath? When we stop and consciously breathe we connect our mind and body to one another.

Our mind body connection is such a symbiotic relationship, one requires the other. But for some reason far too many of us are disconnected from our bodies and do not think of the act of breathing.

When we consciously breathe, we become aware of our bodies and that awareness is crucial for a mind, body connection. Author, Thich Nhat Havh, suggests to enjoy your in-breath and out-breath; thus, becoming aware of your body breathing.

If you’ve had difficulties breathing then you know the contrast of not enjoying your breath. Take large, deep breaths often throughout the day not only in stressful situations. The more often you consciously connect to your body, you’ll learn to listen and trust what your body and mind are feeling.
