Talk on the Phone

Talk on the Phone

Talking on the phone is becoming a lost form of communication. Adolescents today think texting is the norm, and often avoid speaking on the phone. Texting does not equate intimacy. When you talk on the phone you can hear inflections in a person’s voice, respond to their tone and empathize with how they’re feeling. Plus, there is something more romantic about talking to someone when bonding with them. Texting is far too vague, often leading to miscommunication and differences. I suggest taking the time to pick up the phone, dial those you care about and spend time showing an interest in one another’s life. Just like writing letters, talking leads to deeper connections and securely bonds people together. Get talking!
