Sometimes, I am overwhelmed by the state of affairs in this world. Whether it’s the total lack of justice and healing provided in and through the judicial system, the rampant amount of sexual abuse, pandemic of addiction, cruelty against animals and the total disregard for the health of our planet, I feel the effects deep in my spirit. There is much cruelty in this world, and for me it’s impossible to turn a blind eye to such atrocities.
Both John Trudell and Gabor Mate predicted that, it’s going to take 5-6 generations for things to change. That’s way too long to sit back and watch people destroy others, the earth and themselves. However, what can we do about it? We cannot change anyone else’s decision making, but we can plant seeds in the consciousness of those around us in a good way.
We all have a role to play and a life’s purpose. I know my purpose is to speak the truth and speak up for children, animals and this planet. That’s my life’s purpose. I am sober at a time, few people are, to do this work Spirit leads and needs me to do.
At times, I cry. I cry for those who are still suffering. I pray for them; I put out offerings, and I ask Spirit to help those who are having to endure the wickedness of this world. There is much darkness, and you don’t have to look very far to find it. What can we do? We can pray, we can be kind and we can speak & live the truth.
We are Spirit Energy. It has been the power of the people who have been committed to see things change that have been the momentum for change. We are power! We are energy. Not too long ago, slavery and residential schools were common practice and the norm here in North America. Change is possible. We all must protect the Seventh Generation ahead of us.
I say, offer those prayers, get your own life in order and think for yourself. Whoever coherently uses their conscious mind is the greatest threat to the systems that thrive on complacency. It’s time, we all play our part and be those living beings of kindness, Kizhay Ottiziwan who are committed to making things better for all life on this planet.
We all have a role to play in changing the way things are. At the end of my life, I want to say I did what I could to make things better while I was here. How about you?
