What energizes you? How much time are you allotting to those activities? It is easy to not meet our own needs being constantly busy. At this point in time, I feel like my basic needs are on the back burner during the workday. I know working at this pace cannot go on for much longer as it’s impossible to maintain optimal health under duress.

How many of you take your work home with you? Make time to eat? Be present throughout 9-5 pm hours? It isn’t easy, but it’s possible. Grounding yourself can be taking deep breaths, making time to enjoy conversation or a cup of tea, exercising; whatever it is that energizes you. Constantly working and feeling overwhelmingly busy depletes energy reserves, do make sure to make time to meet your own needs as well as enjoy activities that make you feel good.

I know this weekend, I must get some work done to make my life manageable as well clean and cook some homemade meals. I will certainly make time to get outside, exercise, visit and use my creative energy in ways I enjoy. I hope you are balancing taking care of yourself along with your responsibilities. Keep in mind, you are responsible for taking care of yourself and getting run down will lead to sickness. You are worthy of good health and balance; do what you must to maintain that balance.
