It’s a Choice

It’s a Choice

We have a choice how we want to live. Right now, there is more information about positive parenting, health, wellness and consciousness than ever before. This is the time we as societies can overcome adversities, addictions, poor self worth, poverty and negative thinking.

We have a choice how we want to live, and I cannot stress enough it is our choice to choose. It’s a hopeful perspective to think that we can change the way we live. Yes, there are those who have experienced extreme adversity while there are people of all socio-economics living in horrendous situations. However, we can overcome granted we feel supported and have the willingness to change our circumstances.

I am not blaming anyone for their current circumstances, instead I hope to offer empathy and compassion. I know what it is like to live through traumatic events, addiction, unhealthy relationships, workplace stress and resentment. It’s been intense work to be grateful, loving and tolerant; however, I want you to know it is possible.

These last few years have required me to go inward, dig up some bones and change the way I live. I know now, a relationship with someone who I love more than they love themselves never works out well. I, also, have learned to trust trustworthy people and nurture relationships with people who love, support and think the same way I do. My sobriety has allowed such extraordinary opportunities to come into my life and the best is yet to come.

Dealing with past traumas, looking at the multi-generational trauma in my family and doing healing work has changed my entire life. Stress literally made me sick; these last three months have allowed me to do the work necessary to get myself well.

Being on the land, working with my horses, having an incredible support network & team while reading, listening and attending groups and workshops that promote healthy brain development have helped me heal. In my video, Overcoming a Difficult Childhood, I share four ways to help yourself heal from childhood adverse effects.

Let me tell you, I am happier than I’ve ever been. I got caught in resentment, it made me sick; I got the lesson. Gratitude is a game changer, and the universe does respond to what we think about most and what we put out into the world. I hope the messages I share are helping those of you who are open to them, and I thank you for supporting the work I am doing.
