Living our lives with integrity on a daily basis does take conscious effort. I like to think of my ancestors, and I think would the decisions I’m making honor them. My Granny often says, “It’s easy to be bad, it’s hard to be good.” Sometimes, it takes a lot of courage to act in accordance with our values. However, acting out of line with what we know and think are right cause shame and discomfort within a person. Simply thinking in any moment, would my ancestors be proud of the decisions I’m making or not, doesn’t take a lot of time; it takes honesty! Do the best you can, live one day at a time and honor yourself and your ancestors with the choices you make!
