Grounded

What does it mean to be grounded in one’s self? It means you do not rely on the approval of others, you’re not desperate to believe someone’s lies and you are truly happy on your own. I feel grounded right now! Balance is an act, it requires consistent effort and action. Things do get thrown off kilter; however, when one is grounded it is much easier to get back into balance.

I cannot stress enough how important my connection to the earth and Spirit are for me. Daily, I take the time to connect to my spiritual practices; thus, I have to continue to grow and learn each and everyday if I want to continue to feel good and connected.

I am particular about how I utilize my time and I am extremely cautious who I am around. I do not spend my time around low energy people or places; bars, lounges, casinos are avoided like the plague. I would much rather be outside or in social situations that foster health and well-being. It seems to me like these days, I am doing a lot of visiting and being fed many home cooked meals.

It has been an incredible experience meeting within a social circle and learning how to make traditional gloves this last month. What an honor to learn from one of my favorite elders and how enjoyable is it to spend time out of town visiting with friends.

Life is meant to be lived, it is our choice how we choose to live it. I strongly suggest spending time outside and not desperately seeking the approval of others. Growth is a process; learn to like yourself, get to know yourself and truly learn to love and respect your fabulous self! Being grounded and confident speaks for itself! Rock it!
