Misery Loves Company

Misery Loves Company

No one likes to be around someone who complains and talks about people behind others’ backs for too long unless they’re just as miserable. If you have friends who like to talk bad about people, you better believe that when you leave their company they’re doing the same thing to you. Personally, I don’t like to be around people whose hearts are closed and their energy is negative.

Optimistic people are easy to be around. You are able to relax and be comfortable who are not constantly judging others and everything. I know, it’s much easier to be myself around optimistic, joyful people. They like to laugh (even at themselves) and chill out. When you have gratitude, you accept people, places and things as they are. You accept them and you appreciate them. I’m going to tell you something life altering: you are not responsible for anyone, except you! Even if and when you have children of your own, you don’t own them and certainly can’t tell them what to do forever.

Be thankful that no one else’s happiness, failures, successes are your own. That means you have all the time you need to figure out what you enjoy and what makes you happy on a day to day basis. The key to a successful life is the right attitude, thankfully, you have a choice to be happy or not. It’s up to you!

Pick friends with the same interests and values as you. Values are your guiding principles. If you have friends who encourage each others’ creativity and genuinely have each others’ best interests in mind. Stick with them!

We are who our friends are. I’d rather have a small group of friends, as opposed to a huge group of friends I can’t trust. Trust your own judgement and intuition. People come into our lives throughout our entire lives, be thankful for the people, you can truly be yourself with and who make you feel pumped up and excited when you see them.
