Do you realize your worth? In the face of adversity, do you think you would have the courage and strength to stand up for yourself? Your sense of worth determines how you allow other people to treat you. You deserve respect and being treated with dignity. If you are not being treated the way you deserve, I pray you are able to stand up for yourself and leave situations that do not serve you.
Recently, I watched the movie the Shack. I had read the book years ago; however, I now feel I have a better understanding of some of the powerful lessons this book and movie teach. I could remain resentful and drowning in anger over the actions of others and my judgements, but that is not a choice I want to make. Sin is one’s own punishment, and we reap what we sow. It’s best to not hang onto anger, instead forgive those who are sick and spread their suffering in the lives of others. Being angry is a choice, and it is a choice I no longer want to make.
When you’re ready to upgrade your life, you let go of things that no longer serve you. When making those changes, you have to stop doing things the way you once did. Over the course of this year, I made major changes within my inner circle. Doing that changed in my life. When you realize your worth, you invariably understand that your decision making dictates your life experiences. I no longer tolerate liars and cheats; thus, I’m less stressed and no longer put myself in positions to be hurt. By changing my thinking, learning to let go of my anger, changing my circle and not tolerating unacceptable behaviours my self confidence is soaring. The best is yet to come, and I’m most grateful to be at this place in life where I’m sharing my experiences & hope with others while taking care of my well-being. One cannot give what they do not have, so right now, my focus is on balance and good health.
