Silence

Silence

Sometimes, the best choice you can make is to be silent. (Now if someone is abusing you or bullying you, do not be silent, please speak up.) I have learned from experience that remaining silent and staying grounded far outweighs getting caught up in someone else’s chaos and reacting in ways you regret. Providing people with the dignity and respect to make their own choices takes humility and love. Telling someone else how to live and what is best for them might be coming from a kind place; however, everybody deserves the opportunity to make their own choices. Think before you speak! Consciously choose not to initially react and speak out of anger. I’m learning to step away from a situation, to give myself time to react and then say what I want to say in the kindness most gentlest way. Learn to mind your own business and remember you are only responsible for what you have to say and do. Enjoy the gift of silence!
