Healing Journey

Healing Journey

I’m learning as you step away from a bad situations, it becomes quite evident that there are many things to process. I guess I took for granted how traumatic some situations I’ve experienced have truly been. The spiritual life is not a theory, you have to live it. I am so incredibly thankful to be able to go inward and heal from the inside out at this time.

My Mother and I have adopted two horses who were saved from slaughter. Imagine that, these two horses who were deemed unworthy and branded with a slaughter house mark can be a major source of healing. It’s therapeutic learning how to take care of them. It’s been powerful working with these beautiful living beings who have been disappointed and mistreated by humans. This is an opportunity for both my Mother and I to show, Lady and Sally, that humans can be kind. I am most grateful for a friend of mine teaching us how to take care of these girls.

Instead of staying bound in anger and resentment, I am working through it. Nature is incredibly healing especially being outside on the land. I have been walking with friends and family; it’s important to have a support system to share life’s ups and downs. I will no longer accept the unacceptable; therefore, I am taking care of myself right now and I am most grateful to be able to work with these beautiful horses. My spirit is my power, I’m doing the activities that are best for me and staying away from people, places and things that drain me of my power.
