Feel Your Feelings

It’s okay to cry! Feeling your feelings means you are in touch with your spirit. Many people avoid feeling by avoiding their pain, hurts and fears. You’re not going to die if you feel hurt, sad, remorse, joy, sorrow or exhilaration. Having a good cry is therapeutic. I have heard elders say, “Crying is healing.” Avoiding your feelings is dangerous and can be self-destructive.

Trust your feelings, they are a compass for your soul. Feelings are a gauge for what is going on in your life. When we make mistakes, we learn. When we are hurt, we learn not to do the same thing again and again. Enjoy the good times, live in the present moment and know you will make it through your darkest days. The best is yet to come!
