Strength

Strength

Jeanette Walls once wrote, “a girl needs a heart, a backbone and a brain.” I couldn’t help, but agree. People respect confidence and your word. It isn’t always easy to be honest, especially concerning matters of the heart. I am firm believer in being a strong woman, but being strong takes courage to the do what is right.

Being strong is more than physical fitness. Strength is a state of mind and a connection to one’s spirit. I do not like to act out of line with my values, and I certainly do not like to surround myself with people who are not in the same state of mind as me. Typically, my friends are positive, spiritual, loving, supportive, health conscious and fun. We are who our friends are; thus, I try my best to keep the company of friends with good hearts, clear minds and a solid backbone.
