If you want to ditch pesky pounds, it is best to add more quality protein to your diet. Proteins are the building blocks of the body; the more muscle you have on your frame the higher your metabolism naturally is. Feeding your muscles high quality proteins will provide your cells with what they need to add more muscle to your frame. Protein also slows down the release of sugar in the blood when coupled with carbohydrates. Be sure to match eating carbs with protein. When you eat an apple add some unsalted nuts or plain Greek yogurt to your snack. I choose to bake and broil the proteins I eat as opposed to frying them. Free range eggs also add a variety of nutrients and protein to the diet. If you’re looking to shape up, eat more protein.
