Last night over dinner, my Papa let me know that the garden we planted is starting to break the soil and grow. I have to admit, I felt a deep sense of relief as this year I created the rows, planted the seeds and covered them with soil. My Grandfather has been the one watering our garden. In the evenings, he walks around his yard and waters the flower and vegetable gardens. He uses rainwater that collects in large barrels to water the plants he respectfully cares for.
All life is sacred. Choosing to ground one’s energy to the earth is a choice, we all have. Being intimately connected to life changes a person; having the humility to care for other people, animals and plant life requires patience and love. Water all life around you with kind words and loving actions. The seeds you plant grow one day at a time.
