Hugs are Medicine

Love is spiritual. No matter what age you are, you require human touch. We as human beings require human contact and nurturing, especially in the first five developmental years of life. I have read, you need a minimum of four hugs a day; in order, to maintain your health and well-being. The act of hugging releases much needed oxytocin and serotonin throughout your body. I have been taught to hug heart to heart, it is a traditional way to show someone you care about them. Hugging is truly medicine for your mind, body and spirit; get your hug on!
