The eyes are the windows to the soul. You can intuitively tell a lot about someone by looking into their eyes. In some cultures, it is considered disrespectful to make direct eye contact; however, in our North American culture to evade eye contact indicates mistrust and low self-worth. People who are confident hold their heads up high and look the world in the eye. People who are down trodden, often walk around with their heads held down low.
When I am talking with someone, I do my best to make direct eye contact to show I am interested in what they are saying. It’s pretty disrespectful when you’re talking to someone and they look around not paying attention to you. To show someone you care, make sincere eye contact. In terms of attraction, you can tell someone is attracted to you if their pupils are dilated when they are around you. According to Dr. Oz’s book, You: Being Beautiful, pupil size is directly related to physical attraction. Respect yourself, hold your head up high and enjoy making eye contact with the people in your life.
